week. so this feels really great. now look at d.c. at 80. pittsburgh still 82. you get to detroit and it is 83. and if you are watching in high definition, big dropoff in chicago where the temperature is only 61 degrees. so a good 20-degree drop behind the front. although i don't think it will of dramatic temperature drop when it gets to us. but we'll drop back into the 70s for the weekend. so for those of you who feel like you have been ripped off all week working and it is glorious, it will remain over the weekend. a lot of clouds out to the west. you can see the showers. this is a fairly skinny band but it goes all the way down to the gulf coast where we are finding significant downpours starting to organize across texas. they have been so dry they are grateful for the rain. but this may sit and spin down here for a while and may even get caught up in a frontal boundary and visit us next week in the storm of an area of low pressure. that would be with chances of showers monday, tuesday and wednesday of next week. for tonight it is clear skies. the clouds will not get in here. n
